We are happy and excited to announce that our flagship product HOB RD VPN blue edition (Version 2.1) for Linux is certified according to Common Criteria EAL 4+! The German Federal Agency for Security in Information Technology (BSI) exclusively handed us over the certificate on February 26, in the German Consulate in San Francisco. The certificate was given to us in the context of the RSA Conference 2014, the worldwide leading trade fair for IT security (Read our other blog article about the RSA conference).

The “Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CC)“ is a worldwide recognized standard for the certification of IT products. It addresses security criteria for the comparable verification and evaluation of the security of IT products. The Common Criteria certification offers users more transparency when it comes to the product’s security level and quality.

”The CC certification for the assurance level 4+ involved a lot of effort for the whole company. But/However, as an IT security expert we always strive to provide our customers with the best possible protection of their corporate resources. Therefore, we are very proud that we received the CC EAL 4+ certification for our flagship product HOB RD VPN blue edition“, reports Klaus Brandstaetter, CEO of HOB GmbH & Co. KG.

Also in the future, we will continue to put all of our efforts into the development of software solutions, which will offer the highest possible security standard for our customers.
