Today’s “Doodle” from Google is dedicated to her. Her real name was Augusta Ada Byron. She was a British mathematician and is considered to be the world’s “first female programmer.” The programming language “Ada,” as well as the Lovelace Medal (a recognition for people who have contributed considerably to the further development of EDP) were named for her. Considering the time in which she lived (1815 t0 1852), this is quite an achievement, which should be acknowledged. Who knows where we would be today if she hadn’t laid the foundations for the coming IT developments?
