Right now it is the “BYOD” (Bring Your Own Device) trend that causes IT administrators headaches, and soon it could be glasses! Don’t believe it? If Google has their way, it will become reality this year.
Their newest project is called “Project Glass” and revolves around the development of computer-like glasses. The glasses are connected to the Internet via UMTS or WLAN and transfer data and information, serve as a camera and can be voice-controlled. They are supposed to hit the market as early as the end of 2012.
So it soon could come to an employee’s mind to not only integrate a smartphone in the company network, but also: his glasses!
